major from Rhode Island. She wrote that working
on essays has taught her to look at each word
in each sentence and ask herself, “Is that
REALLY what you are trying to say, or are you
just trying to sound good?” “I’ve
learned how to write in a purer way, and I’ve
gotten the opportunity to look into myself. Essays
challenge you to analyze yourself, your life,
some aspect of life, another’s life... in
the hopes that your reader will do the same,”
she said.
