Rosenberg Lazorchak, 35, is a reporter from Southwest
Virginia who is finishing her master’s degree
in creative writing and taking care of her newborn
son, Graham. She said she liked Professor Morrow’s
description of an essay as thinking an idea through.
“Though I’m not sure I could reliably
tell you the difference between an essay and a
column. I know one when I see one,” she wrote.
